We are offering three versions of the Birdy WP, the POCSAG Birdy WP R2, the FLEX Birdy WP and the intrinsically safe Birdy WP ATEX POCSAG. All pager types are synthesized. The POCSAG Birdy WP R2 is operational in the VHF or UHF frequency bands, the FLEX Birdy WP in the VHF, UHF or 900 MHz bands, and the Birdy WP ATEX POCSAG also in the VHF or UHF bands. The POCSAG Birdy WP R2 and the FLEX Birdy WP come standard with a belt clip and lanyard while the Birdy WP ATEX POCSAG comes standard with a plastic holster and lanyard. The Birdy WP has a 5-Line 20 character per line multi-colored backlight display with zoom, and 128 available cap codes.

The pager has the alerting sequences – Vibrate, Tone and Vibrate, and Vibrate then Tone along with a Silent Mode. The Birdy WP is powered by a standard 1.5 VDC “AA” alkaline battery but battery chargers, both with or without antenna, are alternatives if using rechargeable batteries is preferred. Configuring the pager is accomplished through PC programming software and a USB connected fixture. Important messaging features for the pager include an Unread Message alert and a Low Battery warning. For secure messaging capability, a Software Encryption option is available that uses Secure Paging Protocol 256.
