The Birdy Slim Rechargeable Battery can be replaced by first detaching the belt clip and then removing the two screws that hold the battery cover in place. The battery cover itself is designed with small plastic tabs on both sides that ensure a tight fit to the Birdy Slim Pager. Insert a flat-head screwdriver or comparable tool into the slot at the top of the battery cover and apply pressure until the cover comes off. The battery is not attached to the inside of the pager and will easily fall out.
