The TC700Ex provides the safety required in hazardous environments without sacrificing communication quality. The VHF model has 1W low and 5W high power outputs while the UHF model has 1W low and 4W high transmit output levels. Approximately 15 hours of operation can be obtained with the 2100 maHr Li-Ion battery.

The TC700 Ex is FM approved with IP54 protection and is considered safe to use in certain atmospheres.
