The Daviscomms Br802 is a synthesized 4-Line alphanumeric pager that comes in both POCSAG and FLEX models. Important differences are the POCSAG version is available in VHF, UHF, or 900 MHz frequency ranges while the FLEX version is available in only 900 MHz.

The POCSAG version has wideband and narrowband channel spacing while the FLEX model has only wideband capability. Four lines of text can display 20 characters per line or up to 80 characters total and can also zoom to a larger two line view for easier reading. Messaging capabilities include Time and Date Stamping, 3-Speed Page Scrolling, Unread Message Reminder Alert, and Message Retention when off or changing the battery. The Br802 stores and protects messages in the following manner:

     Stores up to (30 - FLEX / 40 - POCSAG) Inbox Messages
     Stores up to (15 - FLEX / 24 - POCSAG) Information Service Messages
     Protects up to (15 - FLEX / 20 - POCSAG) Inbox Messages
     Protects up to (16 - FLEX / 20 - POCSAG) Saved Messages

Protecting messages prevents them from being replaced when memory is full.
